What is Turmeric?
Turmeric is an orange/yellow colored spice that comes from the root of the curcuma longa plant. It comes from the same perennial family as ginger. Turmeric is one of the main ingredients in curry.
Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties which means it lowers the inflammation and swelling in your body.
Turmeric may be beneficial for:

You can take turmeric as a supplement or use it as a spice. Curcumin is more potent in a supplement because they’ve extracted it from the turmeric.
